  • 1/4 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 small red apple grated
  • 1 tbsp of ground flaxseed
  • 2 tbsp of chopped hazelnuts
  • 20g of dried apple
  • 1 tbsp of raisins
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • 1 tsp of vanilla bean paste
  • 250ml of milk (your choice of diary, almond, coconut etc)
  • 125ml of water

Mission Brief:

Start by combining oats, flaxseed, 1 tbsp of hazelnut, dried apple, raisins, cinnamon, vanilla and milk into a small pan
Cook the mixture for 3-5 minutes over a medium heat until the porridge is creamy, hot and think. Depending on your taste of consistency, add more water or milk if required
Serve ingredients into bowl and sprinkle with extra hazelnuts (1 tbsp) and cinnamon
Need extra warmth before stepping out for the day? Add some extra hot milk around the edges

Attention Snipers:

Why is porridge so good for you?
To start oats are a great source of soluble fibre and beta-glucan which helps regulate your appetite for up to 4 hours, whilst also helping lower cholesterol.
The apple not only provides natural sweetness but also contains high levels of pectin fibre that helps keep you fuller for longer.
Cinnamon helps regulate your blood sugar levels and improves insulin's efficiency, while the flaxseeds also help reduce cholesterol levels by being both high in fibre and omega 3 fatty acids.
Porridge in simply Sniper super food!
