fancy some pie... protein pie that is?

Ammo:

  • 100g of All Bran
  • 200ml low fat milk (or almond milk)
  • 100g protein powder (vanilla casein would be best)
  • 20g coconut oil
  • 4g gelatin leaves (or gelatin powder)
  • Any topping of your choice but fruit in the summer months is delicous and healthy
  • cake tin (18cm diameter with spring base)
  • grease proof paper

Mission Brief:

Cut your grease proof paper the size of your cake tin base

Place the grease proof paper on the bottom of your cake tin

Next, blend the All Bran in a blender

Heat up your coconut oil so it become liquid

Blend the All Bran and coconut oil together

Once blended, pour the ingredients into the cake tin, distributing and pushing down the mixture evenlyinto a solid base

Next place your gelatin in a little water (room temperature) for around 5 minutes until soft

Boil 30-50ml water

Take the now softed gelatin and squeeze out the water

Add the gelatin to the boiled water and stir until they are totally disolved

Add the protein powder to the milk and blend well

Take the gelatin and add to the protein/milk blend

Next, add the gelatin/protein/milk mixture to the cake tin

Place the cake tin in the fridge for at least 1 hour

To finish add your own "healthy"topping
